Our outdoor construction area is always busy!
Here, our Little Hearts children are building, balancing, transporting and creating with planks, logs, tyres, blocks and construction vehicles. They are developing their balance and coordination, solving problems, making decisions and learning how to work alongside their friends.

Our Year 6 Pupil Leaders will lead the tours, proudly showing families around our school and sharing what makes Thatto Heath special.
They will also give a short presentation, telling you about life at Thatto Heath from a pupil’s point of view.

HARVEST FESTIVAL – WEDNESDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER
Next Wednesday, we will come together as a whole school to celebrate our Harvest Festival, thinking about gratitude, kindness and how we can help others in our community.
This year, we want our Harvest celebrations to make a real difference beyond our school gates.
Food for our local food bank
We would be very grateful for donations of tinned and packet foods, which will be donated to support our local Food Bank.
Harvest Gifts of Kindness
We hope to deliver flowers and fruit baskets to bring a little happiness to older members of our community.
Every donation, however small, will help us share a little kindness this Harvest.

VIVA ESPAÑA! – SPANISH DAY AT THATTO HEATH!
Today, Thatto Heath was transformed into Thatto Heath International Airport as our children boarded Flight THPS26 for a very special journey to Spain!
From Barcelona and Madrid to Málaga, Valencia and Seville, each year group explored a different Spanish city and enjoyed a fantastic day immersed in Spanish language and culture.
There was so much excitement across school as children took part in a range of activities, discovering Spanish traditions, landmarks, food, music, art and language.
A brilliant day of learning, fun and adventure – bringing our curriculum to life and giving our children another memorable experience.

PEACE STARTS WITH ME DAY
On Monday, our whole school came together to celebrate Peace Starts With Me Day, marking the International Day of Peace.
We began the day with special assemblies exploring what peace means and how it starts with each one of us – through kindness, respect, friendship, forgiveness and inclusion. Children heard the moving story of Sadako Sasaki and the Thousand Paper Cranes and shared the beautiful story Peace on Earth.
Throughout the day, our children worked with their buddy classes, bringing together younger and older pupils to complete friendship and peace activities. They created paper peace cranes, took part in our Whole School Peace Challenge and added their thoughts and promises to our Peace Wall.
It was wonderful to see children of all ages working together and showing our HEART values in action.
Our message for the day was simple but powerful:
Peace starts with me. Every kind word, every helping hand and every act of kindness can make a difference.

A lovely start to the day in Butterflies yesterday!
Our children enjoyed their individual sensory boxes, exploring different textures, shapes and sensory resources. These personalised boxes help support a calm, positive start to the morning, giving each child time to settle and feel ready for learning.
