2018 will mark the 150 year anniversary of St Helens Borough. There will celebration events across the town during the Summer term 2018. In school we will be marking the occasion through the 2017/2018 academic year
Over the summer holiday it would be lovely if children would like to gather some information about St Helens over the last 150 years. This could be in the form of a project about St Helens through the ages, an interview with a grandparent of what they remember as a young girl or boy. A piece of work about someone who has become famous, or a piece of artwork depicting St Helens.
Children should bring it with them when they return in September or alternatively they can email it into school at firstname.lastname@example.org but please ensure the subject states St Helens 150 Years and they put their full name and class on, as prizes will be awarded in September.
Parents will have an opportunity to see the pieces of work when they will be on display on Monday 25th September during our Opening Evening. Parents will also be able to see their child’s new classroom and meet their new teacher.
I am sure the children will find out some amazing facts and trivia.
