One more and one less in RRB

This week, we have been learning about one more and one less in maths.

We have enjoyed learning different ways to help us remember one more and one less.

We like maths in RRB. I wonder what we will learn next week.

We loved playing bingo during our maths lesson today! We had to add up the coins to work out the cost of all the toys.

Measuring our hand span in Science 3 JW

As part of our 'animals (including humans)' topic, we investigated whether the tallest children had the largest hand span. We made predictions and used maths measuring skills to measure hand spans before recording results in a table and drawing a conclusion from the results.

Riddle me this

As part of our poetry topic in English, we looked at riddles today.

We wrote this one as a class:

I have a long, straight tail

My enemy has nine lives

People set traps for me

I can be grey, white, black or brown

I am small

I like to eat cheese.

What am I?

Can you solve it?

Finding synonyms for adjectives

We watched the video about Scarlett, a young girl who had to have her leg amputated in order to save her life. We discussed how she and her family would have felt at different points during her story. We then used the online thesaurus to find synonyms for these feelings. Some of us looked at which words were more powerful than others and what effect they would create.
