On Tuesday, 22nd May it will be 12 months since the Manchester Bombing. We had a number of staff caught up in the attack 2 of which, Mrs Atherton and Mrs Gerrard, will be climbing Snowdon on Tuesday to raise money for the Bee Happy 2gether charity.
The charity was founded by Marie Robson whose own daughter was seriously injured in the Manchester Terror attack. Marie wanted to use her experience both professionally and personally to create a support network for young people affected by trauma and/or post traumatic stress disorder. Marie has worked on several community health projects throughout her career and wanted to do something for young people that brought them together.
The charity Bee Happy 2gether will provide volunteer opportunities for young people wanting to provide peer support to others. All training and support will be given to all volunteers.
If you or your family have been affected by the events of this night or you would just like to show your support your child can come to school in yellow and black. This is not a non uniform day and there is no pressure to wear yellow and black.
Staff in school, friends and family have sponsored the 2 ladies climbing Snowdon, there will be buckets on the playground on Tuesday if anyone would also like to make a donation.
Thank you very much
