Volcano Experiment

Here are the instructions for the science experiment that upper key stage 2 completed in 5DB today

History Visit

Today we were lucky enough to have a visit from an actual soldier who served our country.

He was also very interested in World War II and was kind enough to bring in some artefacts for us to see. We also had the chance to ask him some questions.

Thank you very much Mr Thompson.

Swimming Gala

Today, we competed against schools from across St Helens at a swimming gala held at Edge Hill University.

We had a fantastic morning and competed in a range of individual events including: front crawl, backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke.

We then competed in teams of 4 in two medley events.

Everyone who competed should be very proud!

Bridges and Rivers

Linked to our topic of rivers, we completed a DT topic about bridges and rivers.

Our design brief was to build a bridge that could support the weight of a tin can full of peas.

We used our Chromebooks to research different types of bridges.

We then came up with our own design and thought about what we would need.

We used art straws, card and sticky tape to then build our bridges.
