Class Blogs

Before half term 3LM made their own roundhouses in preparation for our History unit on Stone Age Britain. Did you know that the Early Britains made their walls out of mud and dung?! Luckily, we had card and glue for our houses!!

Fossil making

We had lots of fun last week making fossils out of plaster of Paris in 3LM this week! Before making them we had to learn all about the fossilisation process, we found it very interesting!

Play scripts

In 3LM we had a go at making our own play scripts based on our focus text A Tune of Lies. We started with a first draft and gradually edited and improved it until we were happy with our work. Here is Lucy's fantastic effort.

Instruction writing

This week in 3LM we looked at instruction writing! We wrote our own fossil making instructions and then filed our own vlogs in the style of YouTube tutorial presenters, it was great fun! So, not only did we focus on the key features of an instruction text, we also thought about writing for an audience too. Why not, when are fossils turned out so well?!

We are reading…..

In 3LM we are reading The World's Worst Children 2 by David Walliams. The children loved The World's Worst Children so much in year 2 that Mrs Bennett sent the sequel up to be read in year 3!
